On Saturday, April 29, Beth & Ben left Pleasant Hill, CA for Houston, TX (~1,900 miles).
Day 1 would take them to Calabasas, CA to stay with Jan & Tom for a night. Here they are outside their apartment all ready to start their drive!

After a great quick visit with relatives in L.A., the "Drive Through the Desert" was started. Here's everyone bright and early on Sunday morning, after a quick breakfast of Country Club Eggs! Yum!
And Ben did not grow a foot since moving to California. Trickery of perspective!!!

Here's a beautiful desert scene just outside Tucson, AZ. We stayed in Tucson for a night, and ate at an awesome restaurant called Mi Nidito , recommended by Ben's brother Jason. Thanks Jason!
