Launch of the Puppy

And then the newest addition (as of late August, 2004) to the family is Effie, a French Bulldog girl. She's learning the ropes of living with Ben, Beth, and Koko, and seems to be fitting in quite nicely. It's like a zoo!!! Here's an insight into the puppy mind. Don't step down the stair, but launch oneself off, regardless of how far you tumble when you land.

Effie is Curious

Here's Effie taking in all the new sights and sounds in her new home. She is hard pressed to be any further than 2 feet from either Beth or Ben.

Tired Effie

Here's what happens to Effie after you take her to a dog park for the first time. After an hour of constant running and playing, a comfy place like this is quickly found.

Effie Explores Texas

Thankfully, it turns out that Effie is pretty adaptable to new areas. She wasn't too used to grass since our old place had only dirt, more or less. But Effie quickly found out that at night, grass in Houston is a great place for frogs to hang out, and now her main goal is to get her teeth around one. Thanks to some quick leash work, the frogs have remained unharmed...... so far.

Effie Dealing with Isabel

Beth & Ben are making it a point to still pay a lot of attention to Effie, but it appears as though she is still having a little trouble adjusting. She's just a little more subdued. But she'll be fine!
